About Us

Hello, we're Lisa and Neil, also known as WalkinWardens.  We have four years experience as campsite  wardens . Originally from Kent, we relocated to the South West of France in 1998, where we lived, worked, and raised our three sons for over two decades. In that period, we utilized our skills extensively, embarking on property renovations and holiday rentals. We operated a B&B and managed properties for others. We had a farm and  as it grew we launched a business producing luxury goat's milk soaps, which we sold at local markets and eventually to an international clientele. However, in 2020, we decided to move back to the UK, embarking on a new chapter in our lives. We transformed our van, Molly, into a home and lived in her for two years whilst working at campsites and learning new skills. We've purchased a property in Rutland, East Midlands, to serve as our base, yet we find ourselves spending more time in Molly than in our house. We have a love for travel and walking, coupled with a profound passion for nature, wildlife and environmental conservation.

Neil

I possess expertise as a blacksmith and farrier, with proficiency in a range of tasks such as land management, mowing, strimming, and hedge trimming. My skills extend to towing and maneuvering caravans, operating mini diggers and tractors, swimming pool maintenance, conducting general campsite upkeep. I am comfortable working under any weather conditions, always striving for excellence. Ensuring customer satisfaction is a priority for me. Additionally, I speak French fluently and have completed a Level 2 Food Safety course, along with courses on Food Allergy and Food Intolerance, and Service for Disabled Customers.

Lisa

As well as mowing and strimming etc. my abilities extend to customer service. I possess a strong, confident telephone presence and excel at resolving client issues calmly and professionally. I am adept at coordinating paperwork, processing payments, and maintaining work areas and cleaning campsite facilities to a high standard. Being fluent in French has proven advantageous on several occasions. I hold a Food Safety Level 2 certification and have completed training courses in Food Allergy and Food Intolerance, as well as a course focused on Service for the Disabled Customers.
